Journeyperson Electrician

Are you the kind of electrician others rely on to get the job done right the first time? You’re confident reading drawings, solving problems in the field, and making informed decisions that keep projects moving efficiently.

In this role, you’ll install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems across a variety of projects throughout Southern Alberta. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and fellow trades to deliver safe, high-quality electrical work, contribute to continuous improvement, and support a professional, well-organized jobsite—while still being home every night.


Location / Service Area
Based out of Lethbridge, AB. Service area is Southern Alberta and surrounding area — travel to project sites as required (you will be home every night). Company vehicles are provided for travel to and from job sites.

On-Call Requirement
Journeyperson Electricians are required to be on-call on a rotating schedule.


What You’ll Be Responsible For

This role involves hands-on electrical work, leadership through example, and active participation in project execution. You’ll be trusted to work independently, support commissioning and testing, and collaborate effectively to meet timelines and quality expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in accordance with Alberta Electrical Code, industry standards, and client specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and job orders to determine scope and execution methods.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of electrical work.
  • Perform electrical testing and commissioning, documenting results and ensuring all work meets safety and quality criteria.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company and regulatory safety protocols.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting process enhancements or new technologies where applicable.

What You Bring

You’re a certified Journeyperson with a strong technical foundation, a disciplined approach to safety, and the ability to communicate clearly on busy job sites. You’re comfortable taking ownership of your work while contributing positively to a team environment.


Qualifications:

  • Valid Electrical Journeyperson/Journeyman Ticket (AB Electrical Board or equivalent).
  • Valid Driver’s License (Class 5 or higher) and a clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, panelboard installation, motor control, and low-voltage systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a disciplined approach to safety.
